Description | A cashier's check or bid bond payable to AUBURN CITY SCHOOLS in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owners judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. 1. Base specifications- rolled base throughout the school with wrapped rounded corners. 2. Transition strips should be equivalent to the existing to the existing transition strips to be removed. All base carpet to tile and rubber flooring transition strips should be replaced with new transition strips equivalent to existing product and used on all seams or transitions where carpet joins VCT, rubberized flooring or equivalent. All transition strips should match color of specified base material. 3. Comply with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations for seam locations and direction of carpet; maintain uniformity of direction and lay of pile. 4. Provide cut-outs where required and bind at edges properly where not concealed. 5. Fit sections of product into each space prior to application of adhesive. 6. Apply adhesive uniformly to substrate in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Remove adhesive promptly from face of product. 7. Replace all rubber base and transition strips in designated areas. 8. Contractor responsible for costs associated with removal and installation of carpet and rubber base.
