Description

This Bid Package will consist of separate sealed Bids for the following Bid Divisions: 102: Asphalt Paving & Site Concrete 103: Selective Demolition 106: Masonry 107: Steel 108: Carpentry / General Trades 114: Aluminum Entrances / Storefront / Glass & Glazing 116: Hard Tile 117: Drywall & Acoustical Treatments 118: Carpet / Resilient Tile Flooring 120: Painting 130: Window Treatment 131: Athletic Equipment 136: Telescoping Stands 140: Plumbing 142: HVAC 143: Electrical 149: Fencing 167: Track Surfacing. Bidding documents prepared by Wakely Associates, Inc. will be available for public inspection at the main office of the Construction Manager, McCarthy & Smith, Inc., 24317 Indoplex Circle, Farmington Hills, MI 48335; the Construction Association of Michigan Plan Room. Buildings will be available to walk through Monday through Friday after 3:30 PM by checking in at the main office. The purpose of the meeting will be to review the Project Bidding Documents, review the schedule, and answer any questions Bidders may have. The Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory; however, Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. All Bids must include the following sworn and notarized statements: Familial Disclosure Affidavit (Section 004205), the Iran Linked Business Affidavit (Section 004210), and the Criminal Background Check Affidavit (Section 004220). All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security, in either the form of a bid bond or certified bank check, in the amount of the amount of the Bid, payable to Farmington Public Schools, as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the School District is secured from loss or damage by reason of the withdrawal of the Bid or failure of the Bidder to enter a Contract for performance, Further, the Bidder will execute the Contract, provide the required insurance certificate(s) and file the required bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of Contract but prior to Work commencing. Farmington Public Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids, either in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein.
