Police Headquarters Fleet Elevator Modernization (Bond 2018)

The elevator serves four floors and is a traction type with outdated controller and machine unit. The existing elevator is manufactured by Otis Elevator Company and was installed in 1966. For this modernization project, the City will upgrade the elevator control panel and the machine. In addition, the following list of items will be modernized as part of this project: 1. Provide new modern elevator control panel. 2. Provide new elevator machine. 3. Provide new car which includes door operator assembly, car operating panel and interior finishes. 4. Provide new hallway call button station at each floor. 5. Provide new floor designator plaques. 6. Provide new hall lantern at each floor. 7. Provide new hallway position sensor at each floor. 8. Provide hoist-way heat detector interfaced with fire alarm system. 9. Provide smoke detectors interfaced with fire alarm system at each floor. 10. Refurbish car guide rails, tighten fasteners and re-align as required. 11. Provide general cosmetic refurbishing of pit area to include access ladder and pit walls. Remove any debris as required.
