Description

Once a project has commenced, contractor shall complete work in a timely manner. Damage: Contractor is liable for any damages incurred during the course of their services. If Any matter of this bid package that requires explanation or interpretation must be inquired into by the Bidder in writing by August 4th, 2023. FAX or E-MAIL all questions to aventris@cityofdubuuque.org damage is not repaired the City will repair and bill Contractor for time and materials. Rehabilitation Scope - See attached City of Dubuque Rehabilitation Scope Bonding. If the project bid is at or exceeds $25,000 provide the following: 100% Payment and Performance Bond required at or prior to contract signing. If performance bond does not cover 1 year warranty period, a separate warranty bond for 10% of the contract amount shall be required. BID Security or Bid Bond (5% of total bid). The required bid security will be returned as soon as possible to all but the selected bidder. The selected bidder will have the bid security returned after the Performance and payment bond is received at contract signing. Payment can be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check or a bid bond (obtained from insurance provider). The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids to request rebids; to award bids item-by-item, by groups or lump sum; and to waive technicalities and formalities where is it deemed advisable in protection of the best interests of the City.
