Wood Floor Refinishing

1. Scrub floor utilizing a single brush floor machine equipped with a 120 grit disc under a white or steel wool pad; remove all scratches, heel marks, rubber burns, adhesive and gum. 2. Before cleaning solution has dried, pick up with a wet vacuum or auto-scrubber. Ensure all soiled cleaning solution has been removed from floor. 3. Damp mop floor twice using clean water. 4. Tack floor with solvent until floor is dust free. Allow floor to dry overnight. Tack floor again following morning. Allow floor to dry. 5. Apply two coats of “Bona Kemi SportPoly 350” oil based urethane gloss (brand name or equal) according to manufacturer’s instructions. Steel wool between coats of finish and tack with solvent. No water-based finishes will be accepted. 6. Supplement gym or stage ventilation with floor fans as needed to assure adequate ventilation. 7. When finished the floor must present a smooth, even surface, free of streaks, bubbles, peeling or flaking. Edges should be straight, corners square with no build up.
