Repair Runway Keel

The Project consists of milling and replacing the asphalt section (the runway keel) of the active runway at Selfridge Air National Guard Base; including, but not limited to the following: Approximately 35,000 tons of new runway asphalt, Milling deposit areas provided on-base, Approximately 3,400 Square Yards (SY) of full depth repairs; including: (2) layers of Geo-grid (7,000 SY), Several feet of open-graded stone aggregate fill, Aggregate fill will be capped with a cement stabilized base, As a Department of Defense owned and operated runway, Department of Defense specific aggregates and asphalt grades are to be used, Approximately 8,800 linear feet of crack repairs of varying widths, Temporary markings, and their removal, for alternate runway during construction, Permanent runway markings, Mandatory 2-day Army Corps of Engineers hosted workshop for Contractor Awardee, Compressed schedule, approximately 9 weeks from runway closure to reopening of runway.

Division 01 -	General Requirements, Vehicular Access and Parking, Traffic Control, Temporary Barriers and Enclosures.
Division 31 -	Earthwork, Grading, Earthwork Methods.
Division 32 -	Exterior Improvements, Common Work Results for Exterior Improvements, Aggregates for Exterior Improvements, Flexible Paving, Asphalt Paving, Rigid Paving, Concrete Paving, Paving Specialties, Pavement Markings, Fences and Gates, Turf and Grasses.
Division 33 -	Utilities, Storm Drainage Utilities, Storm Drainage Structures.
Division 34 -	Transportation, Airfield Signaling and Control Equipment.
