Furnish and Deliver Snow Plowing/Removal and Spreading Services on an As Needed Basis for Various County Departments

1.1 The Contractor shall provide County with snow plowing/removal, de-icing and/or salt application services, including all labor, vehicles, deicing materials, and equipment. County reserves the right to order such services as required and reserves the right not to order any services if it is found that such service(s) are not required by the County. The Contractor shall perform the work within the area designated within the time specified. 1.2 Snow removal shall consist of pushing all snow off the surfaces of designated areas as defined in this specification. Salt application shall involve the even distribution of rock salt across the same surfaces being plowed by means of a salt spreader. Deicing material application shall involve the even distribution across the same surfaces being cleared with a snow blower or manually shoveled by means of a manual-push spreader. 1.3 Surfaces of designated areas defined in this specification include County roadways, parking lots, and/or sidewalks. 1.4 The Contractor shall provide all rock salt and deicing materials needed for spreading on roads and/or parking lots; the Contractor must provide ice melt for manual spreading. 1.5 The services required are essential to the safety and welfare of all roadway and/or facilities users, as such, all services must be provided promptly, efficiently, and without delay.
