Aeration Basin No. 5 Improvements and New Head Works Bypass to Junction Box Project

Construction Management Services (CMS) for the implementation of the Aeration Basin No.5 (AB 5) and New Head Works Bypass to Junction Box Project. The scope of services herein consists of these main components: 1) Dewatering of the ground water surrounding AB No.5 to ensure there are no hydro-static forces placed on the structure. 2) Cleaning of AB 5 to remove all material settled or suspended in the basin. 3) Replacement of the fine bubble diffuser grid system 4) Replacement of the submerged mixers. 5) Addition of a new separation wall to form the anaerobic and aerobic zones 6) Installation of the new bypass structure and screens. 7) All required instrumentation and electrical systems. 8) New headworks bypass system, including modifications to the existing bypass structure at Aeration Basin No. 5, a new coarse screenings facility, a new Junction Box No. 3, and all associated gates, valves, bypass piping, electrical and controls. 9) Upgrades to existing Aeration Basin No. 5, including structural demolition, new baffle walls and walkways, fine bubble diffusers, process air piping and valves, pipe supports, anaerobic zone and swing zone vertical mixers, and modifications to the influent and effluent structures. 10) Electrical power distribution from the existing Blower Electrical Building to Aeration Basin No. 5 and the New Headworks Bypass to Junction Box equipment. 11) Site work, including but not limited to, new process yard piping, grading, and paving.
