Timber Sale - Spirit Creek State Forest

Unit sale of pine and hardwood on 276.78 acres of Georgia Forestry Commission property located in Richmond County, known as Spirit Creek State Forest. The sale area is located approximately six (6) miles south of Augusta, GA; The location is further described by Georgia Atlas & Gazetteer page 31, block G6 & H6. This timber sale consists of 53.32 acres of pine and hardwood to be clear cut and 223.46 acres of pine to be thinned; both areas are described on the maps in the attached timber sale contract. Thinning will be done by operator selection, leaving 50 ft2 of basal area in the stands designated “Thinning 50 BA” and leaving 80 ft2 of basal area in the stands designated “Thinning 80 BA.” Demonstration areas have been marked with leave trees marked with blue paint.
