Description | The Wayne Fire Commissioners are currently accepting proposals for upgrades to the Wayne Fire House located at 10417 County Route 87, Hammondsport, NY 14840. There will not be a public opening for this proposal. The purpose of this request is to solicit proposals from various candidate organizations, conduct a fair and extensive evaluation based on criteria listed herein, and select the candidate who can best meet the requirements of this project. The Board of Fire Commissioners are not liable for any cost incurred by proposers in reply to this RFP. All costs must be itemized to include an explanation of all fees and costs. The evaluation and selection will be based on the information submitted in proposal. Elaborate proposals beyond that sufficient to present a compete and effective proposal, are not necessary nor desired. Contract terms and condition will be negotiated upon selection of the winning bidder for this RFP. All contractual terms and conditions will be subject to review by Fire District Attorney The Wayne Fire House parking lot requires total refurbishment as well as expansion. All labor performed must be compensated at the prevailing wage. Work needs to be completed no later than 31 August 2023. Move Wood Tex shed back after completion of project 4.2 Mill and remove existing pavement area, approximately 16,527 sq.' 4.3 Excavate and remove spoils for parking lot expansion, approximately 4.668 sq ft 4.4 Add addition to main driveway pipe approximately 20 ft 4.5 Supply, grade, and compact additional gravel subbase for expansion and raise of main entrance 4.6 Fine grade and compact entire gravel subbase for expansion and raise of elevation of main entrance 4.7 Pave entire prepared surface with 3" Type 3 binder and topcoat with 1 1/2 " Type 6-F top 4.8 All cracks will be filled using hot rubber crack filler applied by machine 4.9 Entire parking area will be striped for parking spaces in compliance with Americans with Disabilities rules and regulations Any bidder may suggest alternatives to any specifications on the list and the District reserves the right to investigate, consider and negotiate any such proposed alternatives and to delay final award pending any such investigation, consideration and or negotiation concerning alternatives. Bidders are encouraged to explain any alternatives proposed in their bid. May 19, 2023 Notification of award The Board of Fire Commissioners reserve the right to reject all proposal in full and or in part, waive any informalities, issue subsequent RFPs, cancel the entire RFP, remedy technical errors in the RFP process, and seek assistance in the evaluation process. The Contractor, upon notice of award, may be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract. Bidders should provide the following items as part of their proposal for consideration: o Signed Proposal Cover Page and Non-Collusion Statement (Attachment A) o Detailed quote that itemizes materials, labor, and miscellaneous expenses o Timeline of availability for completing the project |
