Description | The school’s cooling system is currently accomplished using 2 air cooled chiller units. The existing chillers have reached the end of their life-cycle and are to be replaced. A brief overview of the scope of work is as follows:1. Demo and remove existing chillers and ancillary equipment as detailed in the plans and specifications. Please note, that demolition of the existing cooling system may not begin until the conclusion of the school year or June 4, 2021. 2. The air-cooled chillers are to be replaced by a water-cooled chiller and cooling tower. The new equipment will be installed in a 2-story concrete enclosure that will be constructed as part of this project. 3. Project Schedule – Since the existing cooling system must be maintained and online until June 4, 2021, the end of the current school year. The new cooling system must be online before August 15, 2021 the contractor will be required to schedule and manage construction activities to conform with the Dates of Construction. |
