Description

Lincoln Electric System is requesting bids to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, and material to provide Hydrovac Excavation Services per LES Specifications included in this bid solicitation. Successful bidder will be required to complete (1) the LES Construction and Installation Contract; 2) furnish proof of insurance with coverage specified in the Contract by an insurance company licensed to do business in Nebraska and rated at least B+ in A.M. Bests Rating. Certificate must show LES listed as additional insured for general liability and include waiver of subrogation; 3) Return a completed copy of the Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance Request Form. Lincoln Electric System (LES) is a publicly owned municipal electric utility servicing approximately 200 square miles within Lancaster County in Nebraska, including the cities and towns of Lincoln, Waverly, Walton, Prairie Home, Cheney and Emerald. LES' total retail customer count is approximately 143,788 retail customers and consists of 126,411 residential, and 17,377 commercial. LES is governed by a nine-member Administrative Bord that is appointed by the Lincoln Mayor and approved by the Lincoln City Council. The Lincoln City Council approves LES' rates, budget, and debt financing. More detailed information about LES can be found This contract shall be for the remainder of 2022 with the option to renew for two (2) additional two (2) year periods by mutual agreement between the parties. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, transportation, tools, trucks, other equipment and some material necessary to perform the work specified herein and shall perform all work in a neat and workmanlike manner. This will include any jobsite cleanup and remediation. Hydrovac contractor will primarily work under the direct supervision of LES representatives. Lane closures, one calls, and associated permissions will have been achieved by LES personnel. However, requested work may be executed independently of LES representation requiring the contractor to obtain their own one calls. In such cases the Contractor may need to coordinate with the Police Department, Nebraska Highway Patrol, and the Fire Department so as not to entirely block any road, street, alley, or sidewalk. The Contractor will also coordinate all work with Lincoln Electric System, City of Lincoln, and all other utilities and any other contractor who may be working in the area. If necessary, the Contractor is responsible for submitting one call requests in accordance with 811 rules for the location of all buried utilities. Options for submitting a one call include via email at Nebraska 811(https://www.ne1call.com/) or by calling 811 or 800.331.5666 All damages to underground facilities must be reported to Nebraska 811. The Contractor shall make every effort to demonstrate the location of privately-owned buried facilities not covered by Nebraska 811.
