Description | Sealed bids will be accepted from qualified contractors by Wolverine Community Schools for the Wolverine Community Schools 2023 Asbestos Abatement project A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid amount is required and shall accompany the bid. Bid security may be in the form of a bid bond issued by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the State of Michigan, a cashier's check, or money order payable to Wolverine Community Schools. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the bid date. Familial Disclosure All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendent of the school district, or chief executive officer or the public school academy. Bids that do not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement will not be accepted. Iran Economics Sanctions Act All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized affidavit of compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. Bids that do not include this sworn and notarized affidavit will not be accepted. Bid Acceptance Wolverine Community Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids per MCL 380.1267 Questions Directed To: John Rehkopf at john@northernas.com The schedule is as follows: a) Jr/Sr. High Work Area 1: i. June 12-15, 2023: setup and abatement. ii. June 15, 2023: pass visual inspection and apply lock down encapsulant. iii. June 16, 2023: NAS to collect TEM clearance samples. iv. June 19, 2023: clearance sample results due by end of day, Abatement Contractor to tear down enclosure. b) Jr/Sr. High Work Area 2-June 15-23, 2023. i. June 15-21, 2023: setup and abatement. ii. June 21, 2023: pass visual inspection and apply lock down encapsulant. iii. June 22, 2023: NAS to collect TEM clearance samples. iv. June 23, 2023: clearance sample results due by end of day, Abatement Contractor to tear down enclosure. c) Elementary: 1 week; start date to be determined based on window/door delivery. Anticipated to be mid July 2023. Abatement Contractor to provide and install temporary protection (min. 1/2 " plywood) over all exterior openings. |
