| Description | Replace the quarry tile floor in the apparatus bays at the fire department. The work is to be done at the West Columbia Fire Department, located at 610 N. 12th Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. The work shall be done while still allowing the fire department to utilize a minimum of two (2) bays while work is being performed, as this is the only fire station the city operates. The work will consist of removing existing quarry tile flooring in the current bays, including the grout bed. Special attention shall be paid to properly preparing the concrete floor for the application of the new quarry tile and grout bed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry standards. All tile shall be installed on a crack suppression membrane underlayment and aligned in a grid pattern. Align all joints with the base. Include expansion joints at 20-foot (minimum) intervals and at the perimeter walls. | ||
