The scope for the skylight project includes but is not limited to the following major areas. If the contractor plans to provide different specifications as listed in the proposal, they will be accepted The base bid for the project is to include: o 2 3/4 " think translucent style panel system. o One approximate 120' long x 5' wide (ocd-flat) self-supporting ridge skylight with gable end walls. The furthest West panel is to be designed to be a solid panel to allow maintenance staff to walk on and support weight to walk over to get from the South portion of the building to the North. If needed, the top of this panel can be covered with EPDM roofing material, which is the same roofing material on the roof of the structure. This is to be included with the cost proposal. This panel does not require to be translucent. The underside of the panel is to be designed to try and match closely with the interior surfaces of the building. o Approximate 27.25-degree pitch. For general specifications for the panels, the skylights should be constructed using the following specifications for the purpose of creating a base bid. o .070" super weathering Crystal exterior face, o .045" White S-171 interior face, o .23TB "U" factor (thermally broken), by NFRC Method, 26% light transmission and reviewed for comparison.
