Should a bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from the Plans or Specifications, or should it be in doubt as to their meaning, it shall at once notify Gerardo Avila at (925) 890-9796 or at gavila@ci.elcerrito.ca.us . Should it be found that the point in question is not clearly and fully set forth, a written Addendum will be sent to all persons receiving a set of documents that are on the project planholder's list (see Item 1 above). The City will not be responsible for or bound by any oral instructions or advice SCOPE OF WORK The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by the Contract Documents to construct the above-stated project. The general items of work include: Mobilization; traffic control and construction signage; slurry sealing; patch paving, striping and pavement marker installation and such other items or details that are required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, or these Special Provisions to be performed, placed, constructed, or installed. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or an acceptable bidder's bond for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the order of the City of El Cerrito, California. Liquidated Damages: $500 Per Calendar Day. Contract Performance Time: 70 Working Days The Engineer's estimate for construction for the work is approximately $285,000. The City reserves the right to reject the bid of any or all bidders, and to waive any informality in the bids received.
