Description | Auburn Public Schools invites sealed bids from Licensed Contractors for installation of (4) 1000-gallon underground propane tanks at 10 Swanson Road, Auburn, MA This work is to be scheduled immediately after the removal of the 10,000-gallon underground oil storage tank, which is scheduled to be removed. a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the bid amount and made payable to the Auburn School District. SCOPE OF WORK: o Install (4) 1,000-gallon propane tanks underground where the 10,000-gallon oil tank was located. o Provide backfill for the void from the tank removal. o Provide material for underground installation to support the new tanks including but not limited to proper sand bedding, backfill, hold down anchors and cathodic protection. o Furnish and install shut-off's and primary regulators at tanks aswell as a secondary regulator at the building wall in the vicinity of the existing boiler room and the 2 inch gas line that service the modulars. The secondary regulator shall be of the lock up type and be sized to support the total building load listed below with an adjustable downstream pressure, initially set for 12 inches w.c. o Furnish and install all piping between tanks and from the tanks to the building mount secondary regulator. Buried piping from tanks to the building shall be polyethylene gas pipes, properly bedded and backfilled and shall include a trace wire as well as warning tape. o Install proper regulator at the building. o Backfill voids left by tank. o Restore disturbed area with asphalt (up to 4" thickness) o Provide a 6inch base with pea stone and weed blocker. o Provide bollards around surface area. o Install 5-foot gauge black vinyl-coated steel chain link fence with locking gate o Restore and loam/ seed area. |
