| Description | Required to apply 5/8” exterior grade class C to D exposed (CDX) plywood to all openings including doors, windows, and crawl space openings. Plywood shall be cut to fit the exterior perimeter of the opening with a minimum 4” overlap to allow the board to be secured to the building. When plywood board is secured to concrete, the boards shall be secured with masonry screw or anchors such as Tapcon brand, or equal, no greater than 12” on center placement around the perimeter of the board. When plywood board is being applied to wood framed structure, corrosion resistant deck screws shall be used with placement no greater than 12” on center placement around the entire perimeter of the board. |
