Cost Estimate $750,000-$800,000 Location McPherson County, Kansas Agency Name McPherson County RWD #1 Due Date Thursday, March 16th 2023, 5:30 pm Project Name McPherson County RWD #1 - Water System Improvements Notice Text McPherson County RWD #1 Water System Improvements KPWSLF Project No. 3072 CDBG Project No. 22-PF-026 You are invited to bid on a single general contract for McPherson County RWD#1 - Water System Improvements described in general as follows: Chlorine Building: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for construction of a new gas chlorination building that includes excavation, backfilling, grading; process piping, water treatment plant that includes: existing treatment equipment removal and demolition; excavation; backfilling; grading; 15 x12 block building; site and building concrete work; architectural work; masonry block construction; process piping; mechanical and electrical equipment; valves, hydrants, & appurtenances;); automated vacuum operated chlorine gas equipment; one centrifugal high service booster pumps; and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Water Storage Standpipe: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for construction of a new water storage standpipe that includes existing standpipe demolition, excavation, backfilling, grading; process piping, concrete valve vault, PRV valve vault, electrical equipment, foundation concrete work; piping; valves, hydrants, & appurtenances;) and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Well Rehabilitation and Supply Piping: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for rehabilitation of the existing wells that includes existing chlorine building/ well 1 demolition, construction of a pitless unit, new submersible well pumps, excavation, backfilling, grading; supply piping, concrete work; electrical work; valves, meter pits, hydrants, water service connections & appurtenances;); and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Complete sets of Bidding Documents must be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Bidder s attention is called to the required compliance with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Kansas Public Water Supply Loan Fund (KPWSLF) Requirements and the Kansas Department of Commerce, Community Development Block Grant Program Requirements. Attention to bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Federal prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3 of the 1968 Housing Act, Segregated Facility. Section 109 of the 1984 Housing and Community Development Act and Executive Order 11246 and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. All contracts and subcontracts exceeding $100,000, at any tier under a KPWSLF Loan Agreement shall comply with the Anti-Lobbying Act, Section 319 of Public Law 101-121, and file an Anti-Lobbying Certification form, and the Disclosure of Lobbying Activities form, if required, to the next tier above. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the presidents Executive Order No. 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended.
