Description

The Construction Manager at Risk ("CMR") will provide construction management services to implement the Statesville Regional Airport Terminal. The Project will involve the following elements, to be implemented in a phased approach: A. Demolition of the existing terminal building 1) This will require temporary facilities, as the airport will need to remain operational. B. Construction of a new airport terminal building that is 19,300 square feet. 1) Will include office spaces on the first and second floor and the third floor will potentially be a shell space, event space, tenant space or restaurant. C. Site work to include new parking layout, roundabout at covered drop off, and relocating the airfield electrical vault. D. CMR will need to comply with all airport procedures that will be included with project specifications. E. CMR to coordinate with Airport and FAA for crane and construction operations on the apron. F. The value of the construction is estimated to be approximately $8M to $10M. G. Other features determined necessary though a collaborative design effort. This project will require coordination between the CMR and Owner to maintain airport operations while the project is under construction. The value of Liquidated Damages will be evaluated during the contract negotiation period. Deadline for Questions March 22, 2023 @ 5:00pm *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
