Description

Questions about this procedure shall be directed to the Architect to: FGM Architects Inc: 1211 West 22nd Street, Suite 700, Oak Brook, IL 60523; Telephone: 630-574-8300; E-mail: alysonsternquist@fgmarchitects.com or kylekim@fgmarchitects.com All bids to be accompanied by bid security. Bid security to be submitted in the amount of 5% of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after bid opening. Security to be via certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond from surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities and irregularities. Successful Bidder is required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written per the Instructions to Bidders in the project Bid Documents. Qualification forms required to be completed and submitted with bid: AIA Document A305 “Contractor's Qualification Statement” - Bidders must be properly licensed under laws governing their trade and able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. - Within 10 days after notification of award of contract, successful Contractor to furnish a Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner. The Performance Bond shall be in the amount of 100 % of the contract. The performance bond will become a part of the contract. - Failure of successful bidder to enter into contract and supply the required bond and Certificates of Insurance within 10 days after the prescribed forms are presented for signature, or within such extended period as the Owner may grant, shall constitute a default. - Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner. Owner also reserves the right to award a partial amount of the Work rather than the entire amount. - All bids submitted shall be valid for at least 60 days from bid opening date; Alterations allowed: Only those approved by the Owner. - All contractors submitting bids must be in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act as enacted by the State of Illinois. - As part of their bid, all contractors are required to sign, notarize and return the contractor certificates included with this bid packet.
