Description

Description: The Project includes, but not limited to, the following Work: Consisting of approximately 3,100 lineal feet of 8-inch and 10-inch resin impregnated cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining including the reinstatement, preparation and chemical grouting of approximately 65 lateral connections. Consisting of approximately 5 sanitary manholes being structurally lined and approximately 19 sanitary manholes having structural rehabilitation including, but not limited to, new adjustment, new castings, installing an external chimney seal, gout sealing, and flowline and bench rehabilitation. Consisting of approximately 300 lineal feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer and 100 feet of 12-inch storm sewer replacement by open cut methods. Related includes the installation of approximately 2 sanitary sewer manholes, 2 storm sewer manholes, and replacement of approximately 7 service laterals. Work also includes concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk patch restoration and pulverizing, grading and asphalt paving of approximately 1,000 square yards of municipal street. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Andy Zimmer, 1230 South Boulevard, Baraboo, WI 53913. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The following waivers apply to this Contract: De Minimis, Minor Components Pig Iron and direct reduced iron, and. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
