Description

Qualified Design-Build contractor (“DB Contractor”) to provide design and construction services for low impact development (“LID”) stormwater retrofits at Hamlin Street and Hickey Lane. DOEE will coordinate and oversee this Project through a partnership with the District Department of Transportation (“DDOT”) and the U.S. National Arboretum (“USNA”) (“Project Partners”). DOEE will act as the Project Partners’ agent during the design and construction of the Project. DDOT and USNA will be the owner of the completed Project on each of their property. The purpose of this project is to reduce stormwater runoff and prevent erosion in Hickey Run, to reduce stormwater pollution, to restore natural hydrology and to increase natural habitat —with the goal of improving water quality in the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers for the benefit of District residents, visitors, wildlife and the environment.
