1) Removal of windlass from bow deck which will not be reinstalled. The hole should be glassed over and prepared for a new stainless steel bitt to be installed in its place with a stainless steel backing plate for reinforcement. (VMRC will provide the bitt and backing plate but these items will be installed by the contractor) 2) Removal of the vessels guard prior to painting and any repairs made to screw hole before bedding and reinstallation after painting is completed. 3) Removal of swim platform from stern, sand and paint with a slight non-skid finish. 4) Removal of all decals and name stickers with only the necessary "name and hailing port" decals to be replaced and provided by the contractor after painting has been completed. 5) Proper cleaning, dewaxing, sanding and fairing should meet the paint manufacturer's specifications.
