Richland County Road No. 3 Mill & Bituminous Overlay

As of November 2, 2022, construction has been completed. The project consists of the following approximate quantities: 4.5 Miles Subgrade Preparation 5,030 Ton Aggregate Base Course CL 5 68,530 Square Yard Milling Pavement Surface 13,600 Ton RAP - Superpave FAA 43 721 Ton PG 58S-28 Asphalt Cement 3 Each Adjust Manhole Traffic Control and all miscellaneous work necessary therefor and incidental thereto. Each bid will be submitted on the basis of a cash payment for work. It will either be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the above-mentioned addressed to the above-mentioned City of Auditor/Finance Director and shall be designated that the bid is for County Road #3 Mill and Bituminous Overlay, County Project No. CP-0003(022), Richland County, North Dakota. The bid shall be accompanied by a Bidders Bond in a separate envelope in the amount of five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid, executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in North Dakota. If the Principals bid is accepted by Richland County and the contract awarded, the principal, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award, will be required to execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of the principals bid and any requirements and conditions of the Owner. A Contractors Bond, as required by Section 48-01.2-10 of the North Dakota Century Code, shall be included with the executed Contract Documents. The Bid Security shall be as required in Section 48-01.2-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids, as required by Section 43-07-07 of the North Dakota Century Code and a copy of the license or certificate of renewal thereof issued shall be enclosed in the required bid bond envelope. No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to Bond and Licenses, and any deficient bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. The OWNER retains the right to reject any or all of the bids submitted and to waive any informality in any bid and to hold all bids for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from said date of opening and to hold the three low bids and bid securities for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from said date of bid opening. The work is to commence upon a date to be specified by the OWNER, notice of which will be given to the successful bidder ten (10) days in advance of the start of construction. The Contractor will be required to commence construction and substantially complete all of the work for the project by August 19, 2022. Final completion for this project is September 2, 2022.
