Description

Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center. Bids shall include the furnishing and installation of all labor, materials, permits, equipment, tools, supplies, etc., for the Community Centre Window Well Project. \ Approximate quantities of work to be expected are as follows: 1 LS - Modular Block Wall \ Together with appurtenant construction in all contracts. A Certified check or bid bond payable without condition to the Village of West Milwaukee in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a proper contract and bond will be executed and filed within ten (10) days after the acceptance of the bid. If such bidder fails to execute and file such contract and bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. \ No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Village of West Milwaukee for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of opening bids. Each bidder agrees upon submission of bid that if the same be accepted within said time period, he shall be bound by the terms of acceptance hereinafter contained. The bidder's attention is called to the "Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity (Executive Order 11246)," "contained in the bid documents, which sets forth, in part, goals and timetables for the employment of women and minorities in the project area." Contractors and Subcontractors are required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates on public work as established by Federal Department of Labor wage scale rates for various job classifications. A copy of these Federal required wage rates is contained in the Contract Document. The Village of West Milwaukee reserves the right to reject any or all bids received or to accept any bid which may be to the best interest of the Village of West Milwaukee.
