Description

HVAC Project Mt. SAC Early College Academy. - The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: The construction of new portables consisting of site preparation, earthwork, site utilities, existing path of travel ADA upgrades, portland cement sidewalks, and curbs, asphalt paving, landscaping; miscellaneous metal fabrications, steel railings and handrails, ornamental fence and gates, electrical, and communication and data systems. DSA Application No. 03-122133 Location- 2226 E Rio Verde Dr West Covina, CA 91791 CONTRACTOR should consult the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and General Requirements regarding Milestones and Liquidated Damages. Prequalification of Bidders As a condition of bidding for this Project, and in accordance with California Public Contract Code section 20111.5, prospective bidders are required to submit to the District a completed set of prequalification documents on forms provided by the District. These documents will be the basis for determining which bidders are qualified to bid on this Project. Bids will not be accepted if a Contractor has not been prequalified where prequalification is required. A Bidder who has not previously completed the District s Pre-Qualification Questionnaire must complete and submit the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire to the District not less than ten (10) working days prior to the latest date for submission of Bid Proposals. Failure of such a Bidder to timely submit a completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and to be deemed a Pre-Qualified Bidder for the Work will result in rejection of the Bidder s Bid Proposal for non-responsiveness. If this Project includes work that will be performed by mechanical, electrical or plumbing ( MEP ) subcontractors (contractors that hold C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses), such MEP subcontractors must also be prequalified. A list of prequalified MEP subcontractors will be made available by the District to all bidders at least five business days prior to the bid opening date. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that all MEP subcontractors holding any of the licenses listed above are properly prequalified before submitting a bid. This prequalification requirement applies even if the subcontractor will perform, or is designated to perform, work that does not require one of the licenses listed above, but the subcontractor holds one of the licenses listed above. Miscellaneous Information Bids shall be received in the place identified above, and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above-stated time and place. The bid documents are available to those who attend and stay for the duration of the mandatory job walk. N/A. There will be a non-refundable charge to purchase each set of bid documents. No partial sets will be available. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active CLASS B LICENSE at the time of bid throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor s California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder s proposal. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California Law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents. Each bidder shall submit with its bid on the form furnished with the Contract Documents a list of the designated subcontractors on this Project as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act, California Public Contract Code Section 4100 et. seq. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the Contract Documents as defined in the General Conditions. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. The Contract Time is two hundred and eight {208 calendar} days.
