Description | Thorough cleaning and preparation of roof for new surfacing.A moisture survey shall be completed to confirm that the roof is suitable for proposed materials. Any severely water damaged or deteriorated areas shall be removed and replaced.All flashing to be sealed with silicone and fastened with screws.Roof and parapet walls shall be coated with at least two (2) coats of 100% silicon reflective roof coating, using GAF, GACO, or identical material that is equivalent in quality and warranty.Application rate of 1.0 to 1.5 gal per sf per coat, with application temperature between 32F and 100F.Following the drying of the first coat, a second coat shall be applied. 24 hours shall not elapse between the two coatings.Specified dry membrane thickness of 38 mils in the field of the roof. Any area deemed unsatisfactory must be repaired. All curb flashings, 26-gauge metal, shall be flashed with at least 6 inches width of Roof Mate Fabric and Unisil HS, or identical material that is equivalent in quality and warranty.Existing pipe penetrations shall be sealed with new boots installed.Top and bottom of pipe boots shall be flashed using Roof Mate Fabric and Unisil HS, or identical material that is equivalent in quality and warranty. |
