Description

The City of Newberg ("City") is soliciting bids for N College Street Water Line Improvements Project ("Project"). The Project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and supervision for the construction and completion of approximately 2,670 linear feet of 12- inch, 30 linear feet of 10-inch, 100 linear feet of 8-inch, and 20 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main installation with surface restoration; connections to existing water mains, fire hydrant assemblies, services, and abandonment of existing 10-inch water main and services; and installation of two 18-inch insertion valves on existing concrete cylinder transmission main as shown on the construction plans. Approval of traffic control plan and permit are required from the Oregon Department of Transportation. The anticipated cost to construct the Project is between $900,000 and $1,200,000. (The Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be issued in July 2022.). Bids must be delivered to the following office no later than the date and time noted above: City of Newberg, City Hall Attention: Paul Chiu, PE Senior Engineer/Project Manager 414 E. First Street Newberg, OR 97132 Bids will be publicly opened at the above-noted location immediately following Bid Closing. Late bids will not be considered. The contract awarded under this invitation to bid is subject to the payment of current BOLI prevailing wages for Region 3 under ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. Prequalification of bidders is required. Bidders must be prequalified to perform work in the following classes: Water Line Construction, Asphalt Concrete Paving & Oiling, Pavement Markings, Miscellaneous Roadway Facilities, Landscaping, and Temporary Traffic Control, along with any subcontractors performing these work items. Each bidder is required to submit a completed Contractor's Prequalification Application Form that can be found at website. Applications for prequalification must be filed at the address listed in this notice for delivery of bids or via email at Engineering@ newbergoregon.gov no later than June 3, 2022 at 2:00 pm local time. No prebid meeting is scheduled for this project. All bidders shall submit their last questions through the same Newberg Bid Management Website no later than 2:00 PM on July 21, 2022 so that a Bid Addendum may be issued if necessary without altering the bid due date. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
