Water Main Replacement Route 7 And Route 295 Bridge - 23-WTR-02 - Town of Smithfield

The Rte. 7 water main which is our main supply line, that is connected under the bridges that cross both Rte. 295 north bound and south bound, has been identified as the most vulnerable main in our distribution system. This main is planned to be replaced when the State replaces the bridges, which is scheduled in 2023 currently. This costs will be associated with that main replacement. This would upgrade this line from 12 to 16 inches, which is a main feed for the Town's water supply. This project is in included in the Town of Smithfield FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 29, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
