Description | As of August 05, 2022, project bid date was moved to August 11 at10:00AM EST. Questions pertaining to the project can be submitted to GeneralServices@buncombecounty.org. Buncombe County reserves the right to reject any or all bids The Party ofthe First Part shall furnish and deliver all materials, and perform all of the work in the manner and form as provided by the approved design drawings and specifications from the preconstruction phase, and those items not on the approved design to ensure the project is functional and complete. These plans, specifications and documents to be titled "Parking Lot Improvements, Countywide Projects" are attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully contained herein General Scope Items: a. It is unlawful to allow any person to bring to the project site or any County owned property, any type of firearms, alcoholic beverages, or drugs other than prescribed by a physician. The use of tobacco products on county owned property is prohibited. b. The contractor shall have a competent employee, directly employed by the 1 st tier contractor, on the project site any time the contractor or their subcontractor is working. c. The contractor shall be responsible for any permits required to perform their work. This includes but is not limited to: building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, street closure, sidewalk closure and parking space closure permits. d. The contractor shall be responsible for scheduling and coordinating for inspections required for completing their work. e. The contractor shall be responsible for protecting existing property and equipment from damage. Any damage caused shall be repaired at the contractor's expense. f. The contractor shall be responsible for providing and maintaining all traffic control that pertains to their work. g. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing and maintaining all necessary equipment for their work. This includes but is not limited to: cranes, tools, ladders, scaffolds, hoists, forklifts and man lifts. All necessary unloading and distribution of materials for the work is also the responsibility of the contractor. h. The contractor shall be responsible for their own trash and debris removal. The project site should be kept clean and orderly. Trash is to be removed daily and legally disposed of. 6. Specific scope items: a. Each site has a specific scope. Please pay attention to the plans and specification for each site accordingly. b. All work shall be performed in accordance with the provided drawings and specifications. |
