| Description | Drill and install up to fourteen shallow monitoring wells at seven sites to enable groundwater sampling. Scope of Work: The general scope of work shall be as listed below. 1. Mobilization and demobilization of recommended drilling rig, crew, and consumables. 2. Drilling up to 14 boreholes to an average anticipated depth of 15 ft bgs (may be 10 to 20 ft bgs). 3. Complete each borehole with standard environmental monitoring well installation (suggested 2" PVC slotted screen/prepack, solid 2" screen/riser, filter sand, bentonite seal, and curb box) 4. Conduct initial well development 5. Provision of all necessary equipment, personal protective equipment, and consumables. 6. Returning within 2 months after monitoring activities have concluded, and in no case later than September 1, 2020 to remove headwords and backfill boreholes. The deliverables upon which the bid shall be based include 14 monitoring wells, completed at 15 feet below ground surface, on 7 properties around Lake Carmi. The actual detailed scope may vary as directed by the onsite DEC hydrogeologist. Based on the proposals received, the contract will include a cap on the number of days drilling.
