Description

1. Potential for cleaning of areas of 40,000 square feet or more shall be considered. Only contractors capable of performing this quantity of work should respond. 2. Contractors shall be regularly engage in cleaning and restoration services and also be experienced in bio-hazard - oriented cleanings. Proof of past experience with this type of work will need to be submitted for consideration. 3. All cleaning personnel shall be properly trained, and all training records provided to TYAD prior to commencement of any cleaning activities or entering potentially contaminated areas. Training as a minimum shall include when and how to use PPE, HAZCOM Training, Blood Borne Pathogens Training, Respiratory Training, and how to properly dispose of PPE and containments. Cleaning staff need to wear disposable gloves, disposable coveralls or gowns, eye/face protection and a “N95 or greater respirator” for all tasks in the cleaning process, including handling trash. 4. All cleaning services to be provide shall follow the interim recommendations for US Businesses and Employers with Suspected/Confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019 as published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 5. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces daily in common areas (e.g. tables, chairs, doorknobs, light switches, cabinets, handles, desks, toilets, sinks). 6. All cleaning products & disinfectants used shall be listed under United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) List N: Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2 7. If surfaces are dirty, they should be cleaned using a detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection. 8. For items that can be laundered: Do not shake dirty laundry as this will minimize the possibility of dispersing viruses through the air. Launder items in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, using the warmest appropriate water setting for the items and then dry items completely. 9. Note: it is recommended to close off areas used by the ill persons and wait as long as practical before beginning cleaning and disinfection to minimize potential for exposure to respiratory droplets. Open outside doors and windows to increase air circulation in the area. If possible, wait up to 24 hours before beginning cleaning and disinfection.
