ESBEs -13.23% The bridge has 6 lanes, 7 spans, is 475'-0" long. It consists of 1 single leaf steel bascule span, 1 steel anchor span and 5 concrete encased steel stringer approach spans. Replacement/rehabilitation is necessary for: bascule span stringer/purlin/grid deck replacement, repair/painting of the floorbeams/girders. Upgrade of the control console/associated wiring, various mechanical and electrical drive components, electrical system and the electrical service. Various upgrades to safety railings, operator's and gate houses, diesel drive train, traffic signals/signage, barrier and warning gates and lighting are necessary. Bridge railing over the bascule span needs to be brought up to current standards. Approach guide railing needs to be upgraded and off-bridge sidewalk needs to be added.
