Description | The City will deliver to the Contractor's processing facility construction and demolition debris materials collected within the boundaries of the City. "Construction and Demolition debris" shall mean building materials resulting from construction, remodeling, repair, cleanup, or demolition operations that are not hazardous. The term includes, but is not limited to, asphalt, concrete, cement concrete, brick, lumber, gypsum wallboard, cardboard and other packaging material, roofing material, ceramic tile, carpeting, pipe, glass, steel, and other materials designated as construction and demolition debris by CalRecycle or any other agency with jurisdiction. . The material may be commingled with rock, soil, tree stumps, or other vegetative matter resulting from land cleaning, landscaping for construction, or land development projects. The Contractor shall process, divert, recycle, and/or dispose of these materials. The Contractor shall prepare monthly reports of the diverted material received, the characterization of diverted content, the net weight received of each type of diverted material, and the total weight received by the facility from the City. If the scope of services to the provided pursuant to paragraph 2.1 above include public works project as defined by Labor Code section 1720, then pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No proposal will be accepted nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor's and subcontractors' current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. If awarded a Contract, the Respondent and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Project. |
