Description

The Bay County School Board announces that Construction Management (CM) Services will be required for work at Bay High School for an upcoming major renovation project. The scope of the project includes the complete interior and exterior renovation, including HVAC, of Building 1 at Bay High School, approximately 27,552 square feet. As authorized by Florida Statute 287.055, the selected firm(s) will establish a preconstruction services agreement, then a guaranteed maximum price with an established completion date. To be eligible for consideration, all interested firms must, at the time of submission, be authorized to do business in the State of Florida; hold a Florida General Contractor license; provide proof of insurance coverage (minimum $1 million for single projects and $2 million aggregate); demonstrate a capability to provide required Performance, Labor and Material Bonds; demonstrate appropriate financial strength; and have an acceptable history regarding litigation and defaults. In addition, firms must submit a Statement of Qualifications, and if shortlisted, commit to participate in an interview with the Selection Committee. Required components of service for assigned projects will include the following: o Collaboration with the Architect and School District o Options Analysis, value engineering, cost estimating, scheduling o Market analysis, cultivation of bidders, preparation of bid packages and bidding of trade contracts o Participation in the School District's direct materials purchase program to recover sales tax o Preparation of a Guaranteed Maximum Price o Providing a Performance, Labor and Materials Bond o Construction management and site supervision o Reporting and documentation of subcontractor's licenses and costs with each pay application o Warranty management o Firm(s) selected must have the manpower to mobilize quickly and complete awarded project(s) on an accelerated schedule Applicants that have submitted qualifications in response to a Request for Qualifications from Bay District Schools in the last 36 months should only submit five copies of a letter of interest, information about your current workload and updated copies of your insurance certificates and contractor's license. New applicants should submit five copies of the Statement of Qualifications packet. o Professional Services Selection Committee will meet to shortlist applicants for interview on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 8:00 AM in the Facilities Department o Professional Services Selection Committee will interview shortlisted applicants on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 beginning at 8:00 AM o School Board Approval of the CM Selection will be on Tuesday, October 25, 2022
