Description | The purpose of this project is to stabilize a hillslope adjacent to Railroad Avenue and restore a section of Sawmill Creek. Project components include mobilization, site preparation, water control, bank grading, floodplain excavation, channel grading, embankment stabilization, installation of in-stream features, placing of topsoil, seeding and planting, and site restoration. All questions and requests for clarification are to be submitted to Ethan Ely of SLR at eely@slrconsulting.com and must be received in writing by 3:00pm on December 20, 2022. No phone calls please. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Village of Tannersville, negotiable United States Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to at least ten (10%) percent of the Base Bid shall be submitted with the Bid. The Village of Tannersville is exempt from paying sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials to be incorporated into the work. The successful Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to execute a good and sufficient bond of indemnity of a duly authorized surety company, equal to the full amount of the Contract, as security for the faithful performance on the part of the CONTRACTOR of all the covenants and agreements contained in said Contract and Specifications. Bid selection will be made to the lowest, qualified, responsible bidder. The Village of Tannersville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities therein, and to select the Bid, the acceptance of which, in its judgment, will best assure the efficient performance of work. Bids may be held by the Village of Tannersville for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids, for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the Contract. Prospective bidders should be aware of NYSDEC time of year restriction which state that in-stream or stream bank work shall be accomplished only from June 15 through September 30 of any calendar year. |
