A. In general, the Contractor shall supply all material, labor, equipment, insurance, temporary protection, tools and appliances necessary for the proper completion of the Work as described in the Plans and Specifications, in accordance with good construction practice, and as required by the materials manufacturers. B. Supply all shoring and protection necessary to protect the occupants, building area, building systems, and landscape areas. All means and methods are the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor is solely responsible for safety on the job site. C. The Roofing Replacement work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Removal and disposal of all existing roofing materials mastics in their entirety down to the existing roof decks; including but not limited to stone ballast, EPDM membrane, EPDM membrane flashings, gravel surface built-up roofing (BUR), BUR flashings, polyisocyanurate FIRE DEPARTMENT HEADQUARTERS & BRIGGS CORNER STATION CBI CONSULTING, LLC ROOFING REPLACEMENT BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS THE CITY OF ATTLEBORO TEL: (617) 268-8977 ATTLEBORO, MASSACHUSETTS FAX: (617) 464-2971 CBI JOB NO.: CB210774 SUMMARY OF WORK 01 11 00 – 2 insulation, wood fiberboard insulation, fibrous insulation, insulating lightweight concrete, miscellaneous wood and fibrous cants, roofing fasteners, termination bars, pipe clamps, adhesives, mastics and sealants for Roof Areas A, B, C & D at the Fire Department Headquarters Station (FDHQ) and Roof Areas E & F at the Briggs Corner Fire Station (BCFS) and install a new complete and warrantable fully adhered 60mil reinforced EPDM single-ply membrane system, with adhered ¼” tapered insulation systems and cover board, including all perimeter, wall, mechanical curb, pipe and miscellaneous and EPDM membrane flashings, terminations, sealants, and mastics. 2. Removal and legal disposal of hazardous containing materials as described in Specification and Section 02 82 13 – ASBESTOS ABATEMENT. Section 02 83 10 LEAD BASED PAINT AWARENESS. 3. Removal and disposal of all existing perimeter sheet metal drip and gravel stop edges, including scuppers, gutter and downspout and installation of all new perimeter prefinished aluminum edge metal fascia system, scupper, gutter and downspout. 4. Removal and disposal of all existing sheet metal flashings and counterflashings and installation of all new zinc coated coated copper sheet metal flashings and counterflashings. 5. Removal and disposal of all existing perimeter painted wood fascia and installation new PVC wood trim board fascia, including painting. 6. Removal and disposal of any deteriorated or damaged wood blocking refer to Specification Section 01 22 16 - UNIT PRICES. Existing wood blocking may remain if found to be sound and intact and shall be refastened. 7. Removal and disposal of all existing wood plank decking at Roof D of the FDHQ to accommodate supplemental wood framing of the existing wood roof rafters and installation of all new ¾” exterior plywood roof deck sheathing. 8. Supplemental reinforcement of all existing steel bar joist at Roof Area E of the Briggs Station
