Description

Updated 31 January 2024: Updating to provide site visit date and updated specs. The New York District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract through the Invitation to Bid (IFB) for the construction an In-Flight Interceptor Communications System (IFICS) Data Terminal (IDT) Shielded Auxiliary (Aux) Power Generation Facility (Emergency). The scope of work includes construction of an In-Flight Interceptor Communications System (IFICS) Data Terminal (IDT) Shielded Auxiliary (Aux) Power Generation Facility (Emergency). Primary facilities include generator, enclosure, automatic transfer switch(s), Switchgear, lightning protection features, and equipment grounding/bonding. Special Construction includes High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP)/ElectroMagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding in accordance with MIL-STD-188-125. Project also includes utilities, fire protection and alarm systems, mechanical and electrical systems, heating and cooling, and pavements, walks, and curbs. Low Impact Development Integrated Management Practices (LID-IMPs) measures will be provided. Measures in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards will be provided. Cyber Security Measures will be incorporated into this project. The media selected for issuance of Synopsis/Solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the internet. Telephone, email or fax requests for the solicitation will not be accepted or honored. Paper copies of this solicitation and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued.
