Description | Execution: • Prior to pump removal the contractor shall record the gallons per minute pumping, the voltage, the amp draw, the Hz at which the pump is pumping if (VFD), and the vibration of the upper and lower motor frame. • Remove motor, shaft, pump, tail piece and right-angle drive. • Remove Continental natural gas engine from concrete base. • Reinstall motor, pump shaft, pump, and tail piece • The booster pump motor shall be loaded onto a Hudson Public Utilities Vehicle. We will have a local motor shop examine the electric motor. • Disassemble, clean, and inspect all components for signs of wear and deterioration. • A new head shaft will need to be made to accommodate the right-angle drive removal. • Make recommendations the Hudson Public Utility for needed repairs or replacement of parts. No repairs shall be made without prior approval from the Utility. • All components shall be within manufactures specifications and tolerances before reinstation • Disinfect booster pump prior to installation. • After reinstallation, the contractor shall record the gallons per minute pumping, the voltage, the amp draw, the Hz at which the pump is pumping if (VFD), and the vibration of the upper and lower motor frame. • Work to be completed May 1, 2021. Materials Furnished-Contractor: Replacement parts furnished by the contractor must be of the same manufacturer OEM. Contractor shall provide cost based on per unit. Debris Clean-Up: The contractor will be responsible for removing all debris from the site and clean affected areas. The contractor will keep the premises free of debris and unusable materials resulting from their work as the work progresses, or upon request by the faculty representative. The contractor will remove such debris and material from the site. The contractor will leave all affected areas as they were prior to beginning of project. Booster pump information: • 30 horsepower 6” vertical turbine pump • There is not roof access for pump removal. • Pump setting flooded suction 4’2” deep • Pump is a Lane Model 62H-1677 3 stages designed for 600 GPM + • Last service date was in 2002 |
