Description

The work under this contract consists of a two-tiered oyster sanctuary system with a 7-acre shallower site to be constructed adjacent to a deeper 35-acre site, as shown in the plans. Both sites fall within a permitted 162-acre oyster sanctuary site in Pamlico Sound offshore of Engelhard, NC. A staging area has been secured for use by the Contractor; however, use will require the removal of an abandoned or derelict vessel. The Contractor may also provide an independent staging area, but shall be solely responsible for any local, state, or federal permits (if required) authorizing such use.
