Description

MMSD FILE: 258S326r01.dgn The Contractor will overhaul 23 of the 24 belt filter presses (BFPs) in the Dewatering and Drying (D&D) building at the Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility (JIWRF) using parts from the original equipment manufacturer, Ashbrook Simon Hartley (Alfa Laval). For each of the 24 BFPs the Contractor will replace to following in kind: components of the Local Control Panel (LCP), polymer feed system, sludge feed and drain piping, BFP wash water system, and some structural steel. For all 24 BFPs the Contractor will remove surface corrosion and coatings from existing structural steel and piping and then apply new coatings to all structural steel and piping. The Contractor will also repair or replace the concrete hydraulic oil containment structures and damaged structural steel of several BFPs.
