Description

To replace Boiler #3 in the Heat Plant. UNC’s Heat Plant provides High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) to buildings on campus for use in Heating, Cooling, and Domestic Hot Water systems. The HTHW system typically operates at 350F / 250PSI. The Heat Plant consists of 3 HTHW Boilers (Generators) of which Boiler #3 is the oldest. The Heat Plant is generally able to meet campus demand with a single boiler, but during high load situations, a 2nd boiler is required. The 3rd boiler serves as a back-up to the primary / secondary boilers. To lead the design process for the project.
