Description

The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority (Authority) invites firms that may be interested in providing Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMAR) services to the Authority in connection with the development, construction, and tenant upfit of concession spaces in Terminal 2 of the RaleighDurham International Airport (RDU or Airport), collectively referred to as the "Program," to submit qualifications for furnishing such services. A preliminary description of the first three concession spaces that are anticipated to be developed and constructed in connection with the Program is included in Attachment 4. Up to twelve (12) additional concession spaces may be developed and constructed in connection with the Program, subject to funding availability and approval by the Authority. The Authority may package these spaces (or various elements of the spaces) into multiple Scopes of Work as described in the proposed Agreement Between Owner and Construction Manager at Risk, which will be provided in the form of an addendum to this Request for Qualifications. Deadline for Submitting Written Inquiries 4:00 p.m., July 30, 2021 Direct questions and inquiries regarding the Program, the selection process, this RFQ, or any related matters to Jaymes Carter at jaymes.carter@rdu.com. The final scope of each project, which is expected to be established concurrent with the completion of the Pre-construction Phase of services of each project, will be dependent on a number of considerations including budgetary, financial, and operational considerations. The scope of each project may include construction work that is the responsibility of the CMAR and/or work that may be performed by others under management to the Authority. The Authority may also decide in its sole discretion that a project(s) listed herein may be later removed and awarded pursuant to a different procurement method (i.e., "hard bid").
