Description | **As of February 22, 2022, project was awarded to American Abatement & Demo LLC of Auburn, WA, awarded amount is $31,032.45.** The City of Sedro-Woolley is soliciting bids through our small works roster process for the abatement of a 748 square foot residential structure located at 632 Cook Rd, Sedro-Woolley Washington, 98284 Instructions to Bidders: The house in question is estimated by county records to have been constructed around 1919. A good faith survey of the building was completed in July of 2021. Survey results found that the building detected various quantities of asbestos in the kitchen flooring, black mastic in the restrooms, ceiling texture in the living room, entry and bedrooms, and in the exterior siding panels. Please see attached report that contains further details and quantities. Contractor shall verify all measurements and quantities prior to submitting a bid proposal. Bids shall include total costs including obtaining necessary licenses and permits (local and/or state), mobilization, labor, tools and equipment necessary to safely complete the job, haul off of any waste and cleanup of the sites. Disposal of asbestos materials must take place at a facility appropriately certified to accept such materials, and the city shall be provided with a receipt of disposal. Materials and Construction provided for this project will be per City of Sedro-Woolley Public Works Department Standards and the current edition of the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction. State prevailing wage rates per Washington State Department of Labor and Industries are required .
