Description

PEA PROJECT NO: 21292 EDGE Participation Goal: 5% of contract Domestic steel use is required per ORC 153.011. Contract Estimated Cost General Contract $ 7,512,000.00 Total Alternates $ 556,520.00 This project will address the replacement of the existing Energy Management System to control multiple building's systems, including but not limited to - HVAC, Electrical, Lighting, Shading, Access Control, Security Systems, Site/Parking Lot Lighting, and other interrelated systems through a Building Management System (BMS) or Building Automation System (BAS). The objectives of building automation are improved occupant comfort, efficient operation of building systems, reduction in energy consumption, reduced operating & maintenance costs, increased security, historical performance documentation, remote access/control/operation, and improved life cycle of equipment and related utilities. The system shall be set up to troubleshoot and analyze all building functions remotely from computer networking devices. 3. This project will require coordination with many events taking place. The demolition and installation/construction will take place while the Expo Center maintains their present event schedule of more than 235 events as well as the Ohio State Fair held here each year. All roadways and egress patterns must be maintained for public safety and emergency equipment access. All of this work will take place at the Expo Center located less than 1/4 mile west of Interstate 71 on 17th Ave.
