The responses in writing are the only official answers. The project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete construction of the Block 93 Sewer Replacement Project in accordance with the project plans and specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, the following key tasks: A. Perform asphalt or concrete flatwork removals to gain access for sewerline construction. B. Pothole existing service and tie-in locations to verify horizontal and vertical locations. C. Perform a directional drill replacement of the east-west sewer mainline. This will utilize the existing sewerline for the pilot hole of the directional drill and pull back Certa-Flo sewer piping while reaming out the old clay pipe. D. Reconnect services to the directionally drilled mainline replacement. E. Install a sanitary sewer mainline replacement (north-south leg) utilizing conventional open-cuttrenching. F. Extend and reconnect services to the open-cut mainline. G. Install and insert manholes on new sanitary sewer mainlines. H. Bypass or otherwise accommodate existing sewer flows throughout construction as necessary to install new improvements. I. Backfill excavations and restore pavement. J. Coordinate the relocation and perform earthwork support for any conflicting dry utilities. At this stage, the only known dry utility relocation is a natural gas line at the eastern end of the project. Any costs from the utility company will be paid for directly by the City. K. Implement stormwater management (no stormwater construction permit with CDPHE required), traffic control (incl. traffic control plan), site security, site restoration, final grading, and qualitycontrol testing as necessary to complete the work in accordance with the project plans and specifications. |
