Description

Provide all labor, material, equipment, and permits to remove and reconstruct 3.4 miles of Elk Fence at the Department's Asotin Creek Wildlife Area Weatherly Unit, located at GPS Coordinates 46.111768, -117.252862, Washington, in both Asotin and Garfield Counties The goal of this project is to construct fence to a uniform construction using steel tee posts and steel braces along the boundaries and of the Asotin Creek Wildlife Area - Weatherly Unit, located in Asotin County, West of Asotin, Washington. This fence project consists of removing approximately 1.2 miles of barbed wire fence and constructing approximately 2.1 miles of livestock fence using 4-point barbed wire for the upper three wires and smooth wire on the bottom. Some brushing is required as part of this work. Brushing shall be done on WDFW property only. The property line and fence line will be surveyed and staked by the time of Notice To Proceed. The new fence includes all gates, stream crossings, stretch braces and end braces and shall be constructed completely on WDFW property. Due to the safety and health of the public and employees WDFW CAMP is temporarily closing Bid Openings to public attendance. Bid opening results will be made public within 24 hours of opening. Please Note: The Public will not be able to attend this bid opening. No questions will be answered on-site; questions should be directed to CAMP.Bids@dfw.wa.gov. Minority and Women's Business Enterprises (MWBE) are encouraged to participate in the bidding as prime contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers. Base bids greater than $150,000; Contractor shall provide separate Payment and Performance Bonds, each executed by Contractor and Contractor's Surety Base bids $150,000 or less, Contractor shall provide separate Payment and Performance Bonds, each executed by Contractor and Contractor's Surety, unless the Contractor agrees Owner may, in lieu of the bond(s), retain 10 percent of the Contract Sum for the period allowed by RCW 39.08.010. Performance and Payment Bonds Forms: Separate performance and payment bonds executed by Contractor and Contractor's Surety.. Retainage in Lieu of Performance Bond Option on Contracts of $150,000 or Less: If Contractor elects, Owner may retain ten percent of the Contract Sum in lieu of the Performance and Payment Bonds, see Section 00620. The undersigned agrees to pay the Owner as liquidated damages the sum of $1,200 for each consecutive calendar day that is in default after the Contract Time. Liquidated damages shall be deducted from the Contract by Change Order. The bidder agrees to achieve Substantial Completion in 105 calendar days after date of Notice to Proceed and achieve Final Completion within 7 calendar days of Substantial Completion. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract amount based on any or all of the bid items listed, to restrict the contract amount to the funds available, and to reject any or all bids for any reason whatsoever and waive informalities. The Owner will NOT answer questions received after 2:00 p.m. on November 3, 2022
