Description | A. Work of this contract includes weatherization of the Blue Ridge Elementary School that has, weather damaged, and settlement with visible cracks. The areas to be repaired as identified in the assessments included and the summary and as confirmed by SPS+ Architects site investigation. Work includes removal and replacement of all sealants, caulking and painting of the immediate or effected exterior wall of the building. The following is a general outline of work and is not inclusive of all work. Reference drawings and specifications for all required work. The work is organized into one Base Bid. B. Base Bid #1 Exterior weatherization building 1001. Inclusive of slab repairs and hazardous material abatement. Scope of work includes but is not limited to: 1. Removal and replacement of all exterior sealants at contraol joints, expansion joints and joints at building perimeter, perimeters of all window, door frames and at all wall through penetrations. 2. Power wash all exterior walls and removal of efflorescence of all exterior building walls. 3. Repair and filling of all cracks on exterior masonry walls. 4. Prep, block fill and recoat masonry exterior surfaces with an approved Elastomeric coating system per manufacturer's specifications. 5. Removal of chalky paint residue and prepartion of surfaces prior to application of new paint. Paint color subject to change and to be determined by district. Contractor to provide mock-up prior to install. 6. Metal surfaces to be cleaned thoroughly prior to application of new semi Gloss paint finish. 7. All exterior door hardware to be adjusted. Broken hardware and assecsories to be relplaced. New weather stripping and sweeps to be replaced at all doors. 8. Repair patch & fill all open fastneers holes at window frames with approved Elastomeric sealant. Prep per manufacturer's specifications. 9. Excavation of soils abutting buildings to depth of 12" below top of grade, stem walls to cleaned, repaired prior to application of weatherproofing. Backfill and compact soils. Maintain positive slope 2% away from building. |
