Winterpock Road Widening

Construction of approximately 7,500 LF of roadway widening from Hull Street Road to approximately 2,000 LF south of Royal Birkdale Parkway. The widening shall consist of improving both eastbound and westbound lanes to two lanes in each direction, a 15-ft raised grass median, 10-ft shared use path on the east side and a 5-ft sidewalk on the west side (truncating at Ashbrook Parkway). The project will also construct a roundabout at the existing stop-controlled intersection of Winterpock Road, McEnnally Drive, and Ashbrook Parkway. The project includes construction of an emergency traffic signal at the Manchester Volunteer Rescue Squad entrance as well as the addition of pedestrian signals and crosswalks at the Hull Street Road and Winterpock Road intersection. Additionally, the project includes the installation of approximately 2,325 LF of 16-inch water main and approximately 1,100 LF of 8-inch sanitary sewer. The project includes the installation of three (3) proposed culverts and the extension of two (2) existing culverts. Three (3) stormwater management basins are proposed to be constructed with this project. The work will include clearing, grading, asphalt paving, drainage structure, erosion & sediment control, signage, pavement markings, traffic signalization, installation of water and sewer mains, and other items necessary for the completion of the work.
